Our Services

Therapy is an essential service that addresses the emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of young individuals. These services may include various therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy, and craft therapy, tailored to suit the unique experiences and challenges faced by children and teens. Through a supportive and emotionally safe environment, therapists help clients develop coping skills, teach emotional regulation, and improve interpersonal relationships. Additionally, these services often collaborate with parents and educators to create a holistic support system, fostering healthy development, and resiliency as they navigate through the complexity of growing up.

We serve children (4 years old - 11), pre-teens (12-14), teens (15-17), young adults (18-24), and adults 25 years old an up.

We are also a trauma-informed practice with three therapists that are EMDR-trained by EMDRIA and can support clients who have experienced past, present, or complex trauma.  â€‹At Impactful Therapy, you will meet clinicians who have high regard for the clients we serve with a non-judgmental stance. We realize that navigating life comes with challenges that are not easy and that social norms and behavioral standards do not apply to all. Likewise, we are not a one-size fits all therapy practice. Our treatment plans are customized to meet the individual needs of each client and together we learn to navigate the uniqueness your child or teen offers. We work with our clients to help them explore their values and principles, to improve their awareness of their talents and passion, to improve their esteem and self-worth, to think about things differently, to build healthier relationships, and to navigate through the complexity of social media.

Our therapists are board certified and licensed through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).
